So I'm running a fresh install of manjaro deepin 17.10 and the audio is not playing. I have an x99-a mobo and have not installed any drivers outside of the installation. Any help appreciated.
Well, first start to install the drivers. You can use the Auto Install in Manjaro Hardware Configuration ...
If still unsure how to proceed, have a look at this tutorial how to provide good information so we can help you:
Also check if the correct hardware is being used on the control center!
My installation used my motherboard's default sound card whereas I'm using a monitor that has builtin speakers through a HDMI connection. So I had to change the hardware output to my Nvidia card instead of the mobo.
It shows the incorrect hardware being used but doesn't allow me to change it to the correct one
