Adding data space to /home (linux related rather than Manjaro)

Hello all

I will be installing Manjaro on a new PC with 2x 1TByte SSD and a 2TByte SSD.
One of the 1TByte will be / and /home (my data and maybe some vm's), the other 1 TByte I'd like to use for my steam library and the 2 TByte I'd like to use to for virtual machines (qemu/kvm).

Even tho I do have some linux experience, I never had more than one single harddrive/ssd being my /home and I am not sure what is the best way to add all those space to my home (as I am the only one using the computer for the most part - other users will not need that much space).

I would have added the two ssd's with a mount point in /opt/ and then made symlinks, but I am not 100% sure this will work with the permissions (should, but I am not 100% sure).
Is there a better way to do it?

Additionally if someone might know from the top of their head: can I tell qemu/kvm which space to use by vm individually or is it a "global" setting where it just uses one particular folder to put all the vms in it?

Thanks alot!
