Any idea?! :frowning:

I had a similar issue with an XFX RX 580 a couple of days ago.

My issue were with my PG278Q monitor. I would get only 640x460(approx) window in the middle of the screen at boot, and after adding modeline for 60hz, I'd get 2560x1440_60hz resolution.

I could not -for the world of it- get 120/144hz to work, so I gave up and sent the card back.

For your issue, all the help I can give is to try nomodeset as a kernel parameter in GRUB, or try to tell xrandr to output to hdmi-a-0.

Hope you figure it out.

Hello there

Which monitor do you have?

However irrelevant it may seem, your bios is out of date.

Also now that I assume your system is fully up to date (issue a sudo pacman-mirrors -f 5 && sudo pacman -Syyu if unsure) can you switch to kernel 5.7 and see if the issue occurs there?

Hi @Danielsuarez369.

I am using a Samsung Model: S22E310HY. All my system is up to date, except by the BIOS. Do you think that could be a problem?

I already tried using the last version of the Kernel(5.7). My monitor just don't show up and the HDMI is always disconnected.

Hey @Re4mstr, thanks for helping!
I tried with nomodeset but no sucess. Do you think that is because the model of my graphic card? I did not find any related issue with it. I don't know what to do at this moment lol.

Well, if have you tried another OS on the same machine and the S22E310HY?

I tried Windows with my issue and it worked, but Kali and Mint was the same problem.

Same here! On Windows is running very well, but with any other Linux distribution I can't get it work!
