Anbox not Starting

Hello Guys,

I'm kind of not getting anbox to work. It blinks on my screen, and than, closes itself.

I've followed the following topic, to do the proper install:

Some decisions I had to make using yay confused me, but its not a guarantee that they are the cause of it not working right now.

What to do now: try to fix it, or to do a proper uninstall and try it again?

Thanks guys.

Tried:

yay -Rns anbox-git
yay -Rns anbox-modules-dkms-git
yay -Rns anbox-image
yay -Yc

than following the tutorial steps again. No success yet.

Please launch the program via terminal and post us the output

I tried

anbox launch
anbox session-manager

the outputs are:

(base) [estevaoem@estevao-PC ~]$ anbox launch
[ 2019-08-26 00:13:49] [launch.cpp:169@operator()] The intent you provided is invalid. Please provide a correct launch intent.
[ 2019-08-26 00:13:49] [launch.cpp:170@operator()] For example to launch the application manager, run:
[ 2019-08-26 00:13:49] [launch.cpp:171@operator()] $ anbox launch --package=org.anbox.appmgr --component=org.anbox.appmgr.AppViewActivity

(base) [estevaoem@estevao-PC ~]$ anbox session-manager
[ 2019-08-26 00:16:43] [client.cpp:49@start] Failed to start container: Failed to start container: Failed to start container
[ 2019-08-26 00:16:43] [session_manager.cpp:148@operator()] Lost connection to container manager, terminating.
[ 2019-08-26 00:16:44] [daemon.cpp:61@Run] Container is not running
[ 2019-08-26 00:16:44] [session_manager.cpp:148@operator()] Lost connection to container manager, terminating.

That's the command to start it.

FYI, that guide is old and outdated.

Sorry, newbie noobing.

(base) [estevaoem@estevao-PC ~]$ anbox launch --package=org.anbox.appmgr --component=org.anbox.appmgr.AppViewActivity
[ 2019-08-27 21:06:53] [daemon.cpp:61@Run] Failed to retrieve ready property from application manager

That's the same error I was receiving. I uninstalled Anbox for now. It's rarely stable for long, breaks often and the project hasn't been very active lately.

Sad :frowning:
