Black screen after reboot after yesterday update

Hi!

I'm running Mnajaro 16.10 gnome version. I did the system update yesterday without troubles, but when I decided to reboot this morning I get a black screen
I can't login (well I can if I do CTRL+ALT+F2 to switch to the terminal), I just see my mouse cursor.

I have no clue what gone wrong and don't really know where to look. Would someone have some ideas?

Searching the forum first is probably your best bet.

First the update announcement thread where instructions are posted by phil and users comment on any issues. If you have an issue after an update post there so other users know what to expect and can assist with your issue.

Second search the forum for similar problems, which in your case looks to be LightDM related.

(Manjaro Gnome) Black Screen at login after Last Stable Update [2017-1-30]

Hi all, after the last stable update [2017-1-30], my Manjaro GNOME does not prompt for user login screen anymore. It hangs on a black screen with the mouse pointer, nothing else. CTRL+ALT+F# gives access to shell but no GUI. Tried both kernels, none working (4.4 & 4.9).
