anything to test? or it's okay to get the update?

The testing branch is for testing.

Everything should currently be working, but that might change.

I'd like to know what packages cause that black screen

Does anyone know what kernel extramodules need to be installed on the system? I think We need to install them manually because manjaro doesn't do automatically

I've only had to install bluez-hid2hci to get bluetooth working on a macbook 4,1 which wasn't installed by default. Probably not a kernel module but......!

I can't see anything in that Xorg.log which indicates there's an issue. It even says

[ 95220.043] (II) Server terminated successfully (0). Closing log file.

You'll need to do some more digging, e.g. switch to a text console, log in, then run startx.

Updating right now:

Let's see if it works

I'm just able to login to the kernel "Linux 4.9.130-1" (boot time taking too long tho in my opinion)

Linux 4.14.73-1 doesn't allow me to do "CTRL+ALT+F2" or type "startx", all I see is a few errors and black screen

Linux 4.19rc6.0 has brightness issue I mean it whitens the screen on boot and boot time extremely slow and when I login to manjaro, it's getting slower and slower and even wifi networks don't work

I don't know why is that but I think I need to install "extra/linux414-catalyst 1:15.201.1151-13 (linux414-extramodules)" or something maybe this is why

enlighten me pls
