Chromium based Browser (Opera/Vivaldi) and keyring

I have found this thread: Opera keeps asking for "Unlock Login Keyring"

It's already old and it does not work.

So my problem: I use Opera and Vivaldi and their build-in Sync-function for passwords. Every time if I start Opera or Vivaldi after Manjaro restart they ask me to unlock the keyring. I don't need and want it for Browsers.

Is there a current howto for linux-newbies of how to turn this off?

I have done this on my system and it works for me:

sudo killall gnome-keyring-daemon
sudo chmod -x /usr/bin/gnome-keyring-daemon

Keep an eye on your system to see if nothing is complaining that the daemon is not running and read:

Thanks.
Did you have problems with updates (Manjaro, Applications/Programs)?
How do you reactivate the keyring afterwards?

They (Linux community) should finally create a foolproof solution for this to end this discussion about gnome-keyring and chromium based browser.

Unfortunately I am not familiar with programming, otherwise I would try.

No, I have not had any problems.
You just revert by:
sudo chmod +x /usr/bin/gnome-keyring-daemon
and reboot.
