Hi there I have installed manjaro xfce stable version.
Good to have OS like this, but I am facing a problem regarding WiFi. I am not able to see any WiFi network in my network manager box. The only way to connect system to network is using ethernet or USB tethering.

add (bottom left +)
What I need to do :

Please post:
inxi -Fxxzv8
lspci -knnvvv | grep -i net
journalctl -b -1 --no-pager | grep wl
dmesg | grep 'wl\|firm'
find /etc/modprobe.d -type f -name "*.conf" -print -execdir cat '{}' \; -execdir echo \;
grep -r "blacklist\|install\|options" /etc/modprobe.d/ returns same output as the above command in a more compact output
Please post the input/outputs of all requested commands via the terminal as text, (not as pics).
Information on how to properly post hardware specs and logs:
Please format any terminal output with three backticks before and after, as shown in this picture:
Thanks for reply
I am posting the Output of your commands
And please excuse me and tell me if I made any mistake in formatting the output:

That is not good, the adapter is not detected at all.
Do you have WiFi enabled in your bios.
Do you know your adapter model or the driver of this adapter.
Is the adapter detected on the live boot disk.
Does this adapter work on any other Linux (live or installed) version.
If so what is the adapter identified as.
Does this adapter work correctly in Windows.
Are you dual booting or multi-booting this laptop.
Please ensure you answer all these questions, and please post:
sudo fkill list all
lsmod
I will let you know all after some time.
1. sudo fkill list all
Well I think fkill should be rfkill
[nayan@nayan-pc ~]$ sudo fkill list all
[sudo] password for nayan:
sudo: fkill: command not found
[nayan@nayan-pc ~]$ sudo rfkill list all
[nayan@nayan-pc ~]$

Sorry if I typoed:
Try this please:
rfkill list all
Please install kernel 4.14 with Manjaro Settings Manager. Do not uninstall kernel 4.19. Reboot and test operation on k 4.14.
I have pasted the output for the command in previous reply
sudo rfkill list all
And as I am watching the setup option
There Integrated NIC is enabled
Okk I will try this too
Hello tbg
I am now on kernel 4.14 and I am getting same output of all command as before .
I need to know what adapter you have. Until I find that info it's all guess work. Please answer as many of these as you can now:
Can you please tell me how to know what adapter I have .
Please answer as many as possible ^^^
Okk It will take time but I will try to answer them as soon as possible
Answer the ones you can now please.
Are you dual booting or multi-booting this laptop?
- No I am not dual booting this laptop
Do you have WiFi enabled in your bios?
- Yes NIC is enabled from the BIOS
And let me know you that when I first installed Manjaro the WiFi was working fine in live mode as well as after installation but the problem occurs 4-5 days after installation.
And for other question I need to have a bootable pendrive that will take time to post all answers.
I may be able to find the info online, but if not you will need to:
Boot from a live distribution where your wifi is detected. This can be a Manjaro, Ubuntu, or other live boot where the wifi is detected.
In the live environment run these commands:
lspci -knnvvv | grep -i net
lsmod
Post those outputs.
Save any open documents and close all open programs.
Run the following commands:
sudo systemctl stop NetworkManager
sleep 2
sudo modprobe -r dell_laptop
sleep 2
sudo rfkill unblock wifi
sleep 2
sudo systemctl start NetworkManager
sleep 2
sudo rfkill unblock wifi
nmcli r wifi off
sleep 2
nmcli r wifi on
Then test your wifi.
If your wifi is not working put your laptop into suspend.
Wait 30 seconds then bring laptop out of suspend and test your wifi again.
lspci -knnvvv | grep -i net
sudo rfkill list all
If the laptop freezes you may have to do a hard power down.
Please post all input/outputs and report any changes you notice.
Hi tbg,
I am running Xubuntu liveboot
Here also I'm not able to see the WiFi network
Output of your commands are as fallows
