Dying Light - FMOD: Audio crash

Hi all, first post as a new Manjaro user. I recently moved over from Windows as i was tired of everything about it. I must say i am loving the experience so far.

A friend of mine gifted me a copy of Dying Light and we have been playing coop flawlessly over the last few days. I performed the recent update to 19.0 that was released yesterday 28/02 and since then the game does not start.
I i have read various forum posts from other that mention issues with Mesa updates fixing or breaking the ability to play this game and that Mesa was just updated to 19.3.4 on the stable branch.

The game itself launches, but there is nothing but a black screen and no sound. The crash log doesnt really give me much to go on, so i am hoping someone here may be able to assist me and shed some light on the matter.

If you need any further information from me, let me know, I'm still learning and not 100% sure what information would actually be necessary to help in this situation.

So, it appears that its not a Mesa issue.

It is an audio issue, the crash log shows the that game locks up when enabling audio. The game uses FMOD by default but when i disable all sound via the config files, the game will launch and run normally.

*** I have edited the title to reflect this.

:+1: Welcome to Manjaro! :+1:

My apologies for editing your title again to add the above crucial information.

Please also read this:

and post some more information so we can see what's really going on. Now we know the symptom of the disease, but we need some more probing to know where the origin lies... I.E. an

inxi --full --verbosity=7 --filter`

would be a good start...

 :+1: :innocent:

No apologies needed Fabby, thanks for editing.

Here is the output from the command you mentioned.

The issue occurred after the 19.0.1 stable update (28/02/20). I also noticed that there were changes to the Alsa packages in the update.
I have since reinstalled and moved back to 19.0 and the game runs as it did prior to the update.
