Emby permission setting

ok, so I need help with my Emby permissions... i installed Emby from the repo... i can start the server... and i also added user emby to group audio... i put some music file folders in the stock home music folder to attempt to see if i could set this up and i can't get the emby server to add anything to the library... what am i doing wrong? i have read up on this and i find it odd that this app with a sleek interface requires such obtuse configuration in the terminal...

edit: i have the library set to music and the path of /home works but the path of /home/user/Music can't be added as the server doesn't recognize the path... gives error: The path could not be found. Please ensure the path is valid and try again.

Actually copying the output/error you get is better than summarizing.
But did you use this as a path? Like exactly as written?
Because you need to put your actual username where it says user like /home/rubixhelix/Music/

You probably need to setup https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Access_Control_Lists#Set_ACL

setfacl -m g:emby:r-x /home/rubixhelix

log out/in

to check :

getfacl /home/rubixhelix

to reverse:

setfacl -x g:emby /home/rubixhelix

actually my username on that box is zach, and yeah the path is /home/zach/Music, i will post some screenshots of what all i'm talking about in a bit just to clarify

thanks, i was reviewing that wiki... i will do some experimenting later and post results... i still don't understand why this isn't a part of the emby-server installation... esp for manjaro repo...

this worked... just realized i never replied... srry...
