eXtern OS, Anyone tried?

Hi everyone. How is it going?

Is there anyone who tried eXtern os? I just liked the desktop environment. It has a great concept of visualization. It's not built yet. It is in beta version.

eXtern OS has a blurred background in every windows. Currently, manjaro konsole app is able to bring blur feature. But that OS has blur everywhere. Is it possible to bring that feature in Manjaro KDE ?

Thank you...

Looks a little like this one to me:

the blur can be adjusted

you can even make active window transparent but you have to do it for every app individually
or use mouse scroll wheel to adjust active window transparancy
latte dock is a memory hog but its something bearable

that's true, but with Kvantum and the glass themes, you can get that look anywhere without having to configure every single window.

thanks everyone for replying, I am trying to figure out kvantum ...

Kvantum is making everything transparent. I thought it will bring blur features. Man, it is looking bad.

I think in eXtern OS, it is kind of heavy blur..

In the settings of kvantum are options to control the transparency ... otherwise there are other themes they match your wishes more ...

no, but i have seen a review on it, cool looking but you have to be connected to the internet at all times to use it, like a cloud OS.

Try Kv Glass https://store.kde.org/p/1201321/

Set window decorations to Aurorae Glass-kv https://store.kde.org/p/1201322/

Nice and yet very readable.

If you don't like dark themes:

Kv Glass White https://store.kde.org/p/1240691/

Aurorae GlassWhite-kv https://store.kde.org/p/1240690/

It's all blurred, not transparent.

thx, i needed that

Thanks a lot. They are so awesome.

They're indeed. I use them both, the white one daytime and the dark one at night. As I said, they don't just look good but they're also very readable.

To me this OS looks like a casual after hours job.

That's a very polite observation.
