First time user with new install issues

Firstly I am unable to post screenshots as I dont get far enough to be able to do so.

I am attempting a first time install of Manjaro Gnome 18.1.3 on my PC.
Output of inxi -Fxxxz is below.

Initially when I built this PC I had issues installing anything, Windows/Ubuntu or any OS. But after a few BIOS updates Windows is stable and so was Ubuntu.
I decided to try Manjaro as it seems like a better fit for me.

Issue 1: Live USB not booting at all. Eventually I got this working with free video driver selected and nomodeset but on full boot the system would freeze completly before I could start the install process. I could not switch to terminal. I had to power cycle the machine. I moved the usb to another port on the mobo and despite the system booting with a yellow tint for some reason, I was able to complete the install.

Issue 2: Now that the system is installed, I get random freezes and the screens still had a yellow tint. I managed to install the Nvidia graphics drivers using "sudo mhwd -a pci nonfree 0300" and all seemed ok, I could browse around the system for a few minutes but it froze again and the desktop appeared to reload with the mouse resetting to the bottom right corner of the screen. This would happen a few times before the system froze completly.
I rebooted as I had just installed new drivers but it was the same situation again, could open a terminal but then the DE would appear to restard, the terminal was closed and the mouse moved to the bottom right corner. It would reset a few times and then freeze completly. The yellow tint was removed after I rebooted with the new drivers.

I have had no issue running ubuntu or kubuntu on the system, I did not face any of the same issues but I tried to play around with a few distros, I could not boot, popOS 19.10, Solus 4.0 Budgie, Clear Live Desktop. I am not overly interested in moving back to Ubuntu at the moment so wanted to see if I could get some direction on what to try.

Hello! Welcome to the Manjaro forum! I expect you'll find great help here. I always do.

You did check the sha1sum on the iso?

Also, you might post the output of

inxi -Fxxxz

That's near always the 1st thing you'll be asked for.

I did check the SHA sum and it matches. I will upload the output of that command as soon as I can reboot.

I think newer kernel 5.4 will help, install per mhwd-chroot/manjaro-chroot.

Ok, will give it a shot later tonight and report back

No luck when moving to the newer 5.4 RC Kernel so I decided to try Ubuntu as it had been stable in the past. I am not experiencing the exact same issues in Ubuntu 19.04. The only thing that had changed from my knowledge between this time around and the last was the BIOS update to AGESSA 1.0.0.4 Patch B. A friend of mine discovered the following post on Kernel.org that appears to have a strikingly similar issue to me.

https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=205017

My intention right now is to try the latest BIOS from MSI, 7C37vA61(Beta version) and see if that makes any difference and if not, roll back to an earlier BIOS and try again. I will update this post with the results.
