Fractional scaling disabled upon first login

I am running Manjaro Gnome edition and enabled wayland to make use of fractional scaling smoothly. I got my system updated from Manjaro version 19 to version 20 and kernel upgraded to 5.7, but after I did that, the display is set to 100% and fractional scaling is disabled (125%, 150%, etc. are not available) upon my first login to the system after starting the laptop. Logging out and back in automatically sets back the saved 125% display setting and fractional scaling enabled again without me doing anything.

This happened only after I upgraded my system. I have no idea what causes this since I upgraded both the kernel and the system at once.

Thanks in advance for any recommendation to fix this issue.

I have exactly the same problem and I am looking forward to a solution
