hibernation takes a lot of time

You know what generalization fallacy is ?
When you do, you will know how to behave and what to expect from the forum.
Here a few hints:
https://wiki.manjaro.org/index.php?title=Forum_Rules

Appeal to emotions now or appeal to a false reason? I know for sure that no moderator nor admin of this forum has took actions randomly and unjustified by forum rules. None of them carry any personal grunge on any forum member, new or older.

Your name by default is aggro, why calling others so when you display it from the start? Double standard much?

this wasnt my username before . if you have the permissions to view deleted threads. pls read it and decide.

my post was a lot better than this guy

still people are trying to help, instead of freaking out about everything except what the guy wants.

I think this thread is in great need of some @moderation at this juncture.

yes. i never wanted this nor i like it. if it was johnathan i would have been banned by now without warning and communication afterwards. i dont have any problem with any of you.

Never argue with a moderator on the forum. Contact him via PM. If unsatisfied with their response, contact another moderator or Core team member. Do not contact Philm since he does not deal with forum moderation. If you feel that an egregious oversight has been made, do NOT post complaints in forum threads - they will be quickly closed. Alternatively, use the forum report function or message a member of the Global Moderators group.

i did private message philm but got no reply. nor did i made this thread to complain. i didnt start this convo. ppl didnt like my username. in all fairness i am not proud, but its not attacking any1 u can just take it as a joke

Oh, but i took it as a joke from the start, and i replied in kind, with a joke but also informative link to how to provide good information on your post. Now, why didn't you liked my joke and wanted to delete that topic and created a new one?

i never thought a mod would joke with a reply on a thread with so many links. looked pretty serious.
and i dont think you took it as a joke. u pointed that out here 2 or 3 times already...

So did your name.

You see, you continue to be argumentative. And that will be fine to a point. Please turn back to the issue, post the relevant information about your system, and see if we can help with the hibernation. As long as you chose to argument, i will have a contra argument.

i told i have ssd, ryzen 5 3600, ram 8x2 i.e 16gb 3000mhz

No, that will not do it. Have a nice day!

thanks for the support

:+1: Welcome to Manjaro! :+1:
Please read this:

and post some more information so we can see what's really going on. Now we know the symptom of the disease, but we need some more probing to know where the origin lies...

I.E. in your specific case a:

free --human

on top of the information requested above would be helpful.

:innocent:

P.S. If you enter a bit more details in your profile, we can also see which Desktop Environment you're using, which CPU/GPU you have, ...

Thank you finally for sticking to the thread. i will provide it. thanks a lot

I have a machine similar to yours (16GB RAM, SSD for OS and swap) and:

TL;DR version:

  • The times you experience are absolutely normal!

The long version:

Going into hibernation takes about 35 seconds timed on a stopwatch. The times in the log file do not reflect that as the log file itself is suspended some time during the full hibernation process:
