How to see temperatures and usage patterns

hello there

i am a new upstart twitch streamer looking to get out of win10 cause i hate it, then looked for a gamer/streamer based destro hopped on mint 19.1 found some issues and then found the latest "manjaro gaming edition" version. after some trial and error with the installer i got it up and running and i think i have installed wine correctly i am dual booted at the moment. there are small hitches in browser crashing, full lock ups where i have to hard reset either internet or OBS crashing as i am streaming (maybe it is a instability in the frame work of this spin on manjaro or whatever)

NOW on to kind of the main point of this so i like using the NZXT CAM monitoring software on win10 to see temps and usage patterns as i'm streaming is there a way to get that on jaro i have winetrinks installed or is there something native like it that i can run.

Welcome to Manjaro.
Since you're new, I really suggest you use one of the official editions (KDE, Xfce, Gnome). But if you've already installed the Gaming edition, you can of course continue with that (if you're happy with it).

In order to see temps and other sensor readings, there are quite a few tools for that like e.g. sensors from package lm-sensors, as well as tons of widgets for KDE/Gnome/Xfce. I wouldn't use any Windows sensor reading tools via Wine, or more generally, only use Wine if you don't have a native alternative.

hmm i see yeah i know about LM sensors i'm just looking for something with the layout of CAM as that is a simple read out lol i'll look around the xfce version seeing as the gaming version is based off it...

Xfce has a widget for temperatures which you can put in your task bar.
I have no clue about CAM though.

For monitoring you could also use conky, and make it look like a spaceship cockpit ... but since your main issue was OBS crashing, some information about your setup is important.

Vega 64 installation problems

So I just got my Vega 64, and set it up correctly. But when I started my computer and booted into Manjaro (Dualboot with Windows 10) my resolution is locked to 640x480 I have also clicked auto-install open-source drivers in hardware configuration. You will need a conky that will suit your needs. There are plenty of examples from simple to more graphical (using lua)

To be displayed on the secondary monitor, you have to use:
xinerama_head 2
in the config part of the conky, top lines above TEXT - if you are using the old syntax, or
xinerama_head = 2,
if you are using the new sintax.
