Issue with Wifi auto disconnecting and hanging the system.

Hey there, so whenever i connect to wifi, it works for sometimes but after that, my laptop disconnects from the wifi though my network manager still show its connect. When i click on the network manager in the panel, my system hangs up completely and network manager wont open. I had to force shutdown by pressing the power button. This has happened in Linux mint and Manjaro Cinnamon and now in Manjaro Kde. So that's why i think this is a driver issue. Please help on how to fix this problem. My wifi is Intel 3165 and it is using iwlwifi driver.

:+1: Welcome to Manjaro! :+1:

Please read this:

and post some more information so we can see what's really going on. Now we know the symptom of the disease, but we need some more probing to know where the origin lies...

Hey there. Thanks for the reply. This is the following things i know ->

  1. So whenever it happens, i can't open ksysguard or any task manager except 'top' but even in top i cant open it using 'sudo'.
  2. Two processes, systemd-journal and kworker/u8:11+phy0 get upto 100% cpu usage as seen by top command.
3.Also i tried to 'sudo systemctl stop NetworkManager' but the prompt just keeps blinking with nothing happening.
  3. Also if i try to shutdown it, the system just goes to splash screen and keeps on running.

That's all i know. Thanks for the reboot help btw.

dmesg and journalctl output is too big. Let me know if you still need it. again Thanks a lot.

That sounds like failing hardware. Can you post an lsusb && lspci before the incident occurs and after?

:sob:
