KDE Plasma system settings crashes

I just now applied the 'Chameleon' option under application styles in kde system settings. When I applied the option the settings window closed. I tried restarting my system but I still can't get access to system-settings.

[francois@francois-pc ~]$ systemsettings5
QQmlEngine::setContextForObject(): Object already has a QQmlContext
qt.qpa.xcb: QXcbConnection: XCB error: 5 (BadAtom), sequence: 622, resource id: 0, major code: 20 (GetProperty), minor code: 0
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Read this article but it isn't really a solution to delete the .config folder.

Changed the 'widgetStyle=chameleon' line in '/home/username/.config/kdeglobals' to 'widgetStyle=breeze'. Now the settings app opens but I still don't know why it crashed in the first place.

Have you updated your system yet? There was another Stable update released today, which involved an upgrade of the KDE Frameworks.

I did update my system before I applied the new widget style. Just checked to make sure and everything is up-to-date.

same issue here without selecting chamaleon

Thanks for the fix, same "Chameleon" problem happened to me. Is "Chameleon" a new application style?

Yes new application style. Just had to check. Not sure why I said widget style
