LTE adapter disappeared after upgrade to gnome3.36 in gnome menu

I have an LTE adapter in my ThinkPad working correctly but with the last update (with gnome3.36) I cannot see it in my menu and I need to go to network section of gnome configuration to activate it. In menu I see wifi and bluetooth connection normally.

Sorry, to not have a solution. You are not alone though, I got the very same problem:

Seems its in the gnome-shell code, something with the network class not beeing recognised right or so.

Thanks for the suggestion, I did not remember the correct name wwan.
I am following the other thread now!

This "testing update" fixes it - after reboot the WWAN is shown in the dropdown again, and when activated the signal strength inidicator apears in the top panel as well!
