I tried the MJ-Arm on a pi 3B (4 x 1.2GHz CPU), but found it didn't run smoothly.
As the 3B+ model has a bit more processing power with 4 x 1.4GHz CPU, would this make much of a difference in improving the performance of MJ-Arm? All opinions welcome.

Not really. Only thing that was changed was the WiFi capabilities, being able to connect to 5hz band. Memory is still 1GB and everything else was unchanged.
The only added benefit would be the faster internet, but that's about it.
Ethernet is faster on 3B+, seems about 200 MBs instead of 6,5 MBs
