Manjaro not reading .desktop files

I use kupfer to launch custom applications stored in ~/.local/bin/ and I store the launchers (.desktop files) in ~/.local/share/applications/

I could access the shortcuts just fine from Manjaro XFCE; but after in installed Manjaro community LXDE, the shortcuts don't appear from kupfer, nor can I launch them in any way..

Is there a package missing?

I have just checked - there is nothing wrong with LXDE - I can create a .desktop file and it is immediately available in the menu system.

Is your ~/.local/bin in your path? Just asking - I expect it to be

echo $PATH

My mistake, manjaro works fine, I just had the wrong path inside the .desktop files..
