Masking systemd's services

I've been reading about masking servicies so the boot can be faster. I read sites where are pro masking them and sites where not and I'm still can't figure it out if is better using it or not.
Any link, explanation, even insults will be pleased!

Hi! Che!

Simple thing ..
"disable" means it wont start on its own .. but it may still start if something asks for it.
"mask" is it wont do a thing no matter if something wants it.

Only mask if you are absolutely sure you dont need the thing.
