My internal microphone does not work...

My internal microphone used to work (and not my internal speaker) until I added swift5.conf in /etc/modprobe.d with

options snd_intel_dspcfg dsp_driver=1
options snd_hda_intel model=dell-headset-multi

inside. Now my internal speaker does work but my internal microphone doesn't work anymore. It is marked as unplugged and unavailable in pavucontrol 'Advanced' view.
Here is my inxi -Fxz:

Thanks in advance xx

Acer Swift (and most other Intel laptops) needed a modprobe option for most of the audio codec to continue working

options snd_intel_dspcfg dsp_driver=1

this option will disable internal microphone so that all other audio will work with the 'legacy' audio driver snd_hda_intel

a new driver is required to support the internal digital array microphone (from package sof-firmware) but it has not worked well with many laptops when it was released earlier this year

some users have reported that internal microphone works if latest version of pulseaudio v13.99 is installed from AUR - package pulseaudio-git
but i do not know if any users with Acer Swift laptops have confirmed if this works for them

Thank you!
