new Manjaro-Deepin test ISO available (unstable branch)

Did you try deepin-kwin 0.1.0 aswell?

Deep in-kwin 0.1.0 does not do this behavior. The first update to deepin-kwin-dev does.

No , I did no tried it.

If you want to revert back to deepin-wm make sure you have: deepin-wm 1.9.38-3
go to:
usr/share/applications
copy the:
deepin-window-manager cog icon and put it in:
.config/autostart
then edit the file, adding --replace like this:
Exec=deepin-wm --replace
save & reboot, that's it
:wink:

p.s. uninstalling deepin-kwin might break something.

Seems some of us have been posting some our experiences/problems in another thread sorry about that. I touched on mine here. Got a little more detailed in the other thread:

My bad. I didn't use the ISO in my defense. Sum up - my post was only papercuts, Deepin runs well (not the kwin version), it is fast and responsive.

Will read the thread now.

Hm. This is getting weirder...

$ pkill dde-dock && dde-dock
"dtkwidget" can not find qm files
"dde-dock" can not find qm files
Attribute Qt::AA_EnableHighDpiScaling must be set before QCoreApplication is created.
2019-10-06, 22:02:45.421 [Debug] [0]

dde-dock startup
2019-10-06, 22:02:45.496 [Debug] [0] void DockSettings::updateForbidPostions()
...

and so on ... here follows a bunch of other stuff.
Then at the end you get:

2019-10-06, 22:02:45.845 [Debug] [0] "SystemTray" init plugin finished: "sound"
2019-10-06, 22:02:47.380 [Debug] [0] Connected to url: "https://www.baidu.com"

:thinking:

I have written to my contact in the Deepin team already a few days ago, among other things also about the baidu question - sofar I haven't received an answer.

I have now also opened an issue with this question in their github developer-center:

This is on 18.1.1-pre1 I see the older rc5 iso has been removed. That was the iso I had the best success with this one...
Issues:
I was wrong initially sorry @oberon it is not transparency that is broken it is blur. It is broken on the live usb iso as well as the installed system.
There are two dependency warnings on upgrading. before so and so...
Kernels 5.2.19-1 down to 4.19.77-1 all boot with kernel failures.
Kernel 5.4 experimental is the cleanest with systemd errors. (logs at the end)
Grub is defaulted to quiet mode no problem prefer the vanilla version
So that's probably the end of this for me I just don't have enough free time.
Journalctl -p 3 -xb
The vfs_monitor error can most likely be fixed with this post :man_shrugging:

kernel 5.4

Blur issues: Can be fixed systemsettings is the easiest way. I have other features that I also used liked with this package.
