No microphone input on HP Omen 15 dh1059nr

Just got a new laptop (inxi output) and initially couldn't get sound working at all with MATE's sound menu only showing a TU106 card that can't be turned on. After a lot of searching I found that installing sof-firmware got a second card to show up but still not play audio, then adding options snd-intel-dspcfg.dsp_driver=1 to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf finally got me sound. But while output is now working, I still can't get any input, neither via built-in mic nor headset.

I've tried changing dsp_driver=1 to 0 and 2 but those both break audio entirely. I've also tried adding options snd-hda-intel model=generic, model=dell-headset-multi, model=headset-mic, and various other options just trying things at random but nothing seems to do anything.

Forgot to provide alsa-info.sh output as well.
