This is a problem that I have had for a long time with XFCE. What I do is disable power management.
But yesterday, testing Manjaro Gnome, I saw that power management worked (my screen restored after a long time blinking).
The problem is that my screen, after disabled, can not be restored, keep blank and pulsating, like it was trying to ligth on... See video:
I have added this kernel params to my XFCE session:
quiet i915.fastboot=1 i915.modeset=1 ipv6.disable=1 video=eDP-1:1366x768
Any ideas on how I can restore the screen after has been disabled by power manager?
