Pre-release kernels as released kernels?

Continuing the discussion from Manjaro-specific packages which need an update:

According to the kernel PKGBUILDs on GitLab it looks as though we're building and distributing pre-release (e.g. -rc1) versions for stable kernels.

Is this a good idea?

Fair warning for peeps: this is a development discussion, not a general discussion item. Noise will be culled.

There is no difference between the final and the rc kernels. As I'm in Montreal I won't be able to compile them.

Looking at the LKML thread I guess that's true this time.

I'm not sure it's a good idea to do this as normal thing, though.

Linux419 might need a rebuild. Already updated gitlab for it.

Building 4.19 now.

... and it's in unstable.
