rendering issues after upgrading to 20.04 and restoring home folder

I reinstalled manjaro from 20.02 to 20.04. It worked after install, then I transfered my home folder and rebooted.
Now I get over exposure on some regions of the screen and they vary depending on what part of the screen is updated.

I can confirm that creating a new user works fine and copying the .config from the other user and chown it works. The culprit seems to be the compositor backend OpenCL, XRender works perfectly.

Is it possible that there is an issue with Mesa or panfrost?

Yes it happens as Panfrost and its support in Mesa is still under heavy development.
But with the latest Kernel, Mesa and Panfrost everything seems to work fine on PBP with OpenGL rendering.
Please update all the packages and try OpenGl again, It should work just fine.
XRender will be software acceleration which always worked fine.

I updated all packages with -Syu, is there anything else I should try?
