rockpro64 usb port non-functional

I cannot get the USBc port on my rockpro 64 running a freshly installed and updated manjaro install. Displayport output on it doesn't work either. What am I missing?

Some Information would be nice

Type journalctl --follow in a terminal and put an usb flash drive into the usb slot. Any output?

Hi,

Look here, you are not the first with this issue, I hope it will be helpful.

Is it the entire port function that is not working, or just Display/HDMI out?

That's a handy tool to know, thanks.

Nothing changes when anything is connected to that port.

I saw that but it hasn't had any activity lately and I didn't was to piss anyone off with a necropost. It was locked anyway.

The entire port is dead to me. Neither Displayport nor USB-c work.

Funny ... the log is 7 years old?

the date is set properly. weird.

I booted an lxde image from ayufan, ver 0.9.14. USBc and DP works. So we can rule out hardware.

When you mean USB-C, do you mean regular mass storage?

We know that DP and HMDI does not work. But mass storage should.

I tried plugging in a flash drive to that port and that doesn't work either.

Okay. That's indeed odd. Although I haven't actually tested the USB-C port on mine.

If you feel adventurous, you can try flashing the Pinebook Pro image. It's the same SoC, so it should boot just fine, and it has a working USB-C port.
