I am new at linux and I am sorry if I do it wrong...

I read a few posts about CanonMP 230 printer, but I need also the scanner which was not included in the driver package I downloaded. I tried with 'yaourt canon mp 230 scanner' but the only one file I could download is incorrect.

This is what I get:
-> Found configure.in.patch

scangearmp-source-2.00-1.tar.gz ... FAILED
configure.in.patch ... Passed
==> ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check!
==> ERROR: Makepkg was unable to build scangearmp-mp230series.

Can you help me find drivers for the scanner for this canon, please? =)

thank you for the suggestion! I am sorry I am answering only now, but I didn't get the notification and I was quite busy. Anyway, I installed what you wrote and it went ok. Next time I have to use the scanner I will tell you the results =)
