Right after seemingly solving my ZFS issue an new one hit me.

My system is rebooted when I return to it.

-- Reboot --

I have a cat and a child, so I can't be 100% sure that it was not unintentional intentional  But I doubt it.
Do the logs indicate what happened? or can I enable additional logs, to see what causes a reboot?
It seems to me, only a suspend is triggered and leads to reboot. I updated the latest powerdevil package and rebooted since I did.

PS: additional errors in my logs at other times that might relate to it

I would place my bet on the cat (mine does it 3 times a day) but someone might have another idea. What's up with that smart temp thing? Try to get your sdd temperature. I've had one system shutdown years ago because the hdd overheated but I wouldn't expect seeing something like that in 2019.

Try hddtemp

I have a plasma widget that monitors all my system temps. Mainly I installed it as my new Radeon RX580 got so damn loud while gaming and I wanted to better understand whats happening.

I guess this is where it came from.

About the cat theory, I do not see a proper shutdown in the logs. Shouldn't it be there?

It seems you did something wrong when "solving" the other issue.
I would suggest you troubleshoot/confirm there. If it is not relevant, then post what you have found.

All I did was setting the disk io-scheduler to "none" to solve the other issue.

But in all that the powerdevil package was updated and atm I am suspecting it to cause this new problem.

Will a critical overheat reboot or shutdown the system? I believe it would shut it down.

A critical overheat will "throw" the system into a reboot. A hard reboot.

Ask me how I know

PS: at least with processor and gpu. Can't remember what happened with the hdd overheat. Was over 10 years ago.

Remove your mouse and that problem should go away. :joy:

My cat is more into "trackpads"

A good way to access temperature induced reboot was to power on the computer. It would reboot after say one minute, the next time was only like 30 seconds before reboot and subsequent reboots were shorter and shorted spaced. Clear sign that a CPU fan failed for example.

You case seems different but without a record of the shutdown process, it definitely looks like a hard reboot

considering the entries in the logs and powerdevil being a power management daemon, and that this problem started after an update of powerdevil??? seems like the place to start.

disable powerdevil and if problem is gone, then problem is powerdevil or an option of powerdevil anyway. im not familiar with powerdevil, i never used it before but it seems like a good start.
sudo systemctl disable powerdevil (just a guess)

During my previous issue I set my energy management to lock my PC after 30 minutes, so it continues to run longer.
Now I changed it back to hibernating and the issue has not happened again until now.

Throwing some random stuff out here. I had a similar situation several years ago with a desktop PC and it ended up being an underpowered PSU. I put in an aftermarket power supply and the OS ran fine after that. How much juice can your PSU give?

They are currently all stunned, not knowing how to act under Trump  So maybe the Danish Agency.

Perhaps related?

Well, I indeed have bluetooth issues. Sometimes my adapter is missing completely until reboot/hibernate cycle. And if I connect a certain keyboard my system crashes. So maybe.
But beside that my system is finally stable with automatic hibernating set and I am a bit tired of hunting problems, so I will tackle the bluetooth issue next time.
