Most likely kinfocenter doesn't play well with the new frameworks. However, this is already fixed in upcoming 5.19.0 release of Plasma. Also Arch won't fix it for current 5.18 series.

So I addressed the KDE-Developer from our end to see what is going on. His response:

Needs the debugging for sure. I suspect something regessed in kiconthemes or breeze icons. I'll have a look next week

as always I have to rebuild kernel with new gcc, as vbox compains about some error: incompatible gcc/plugin versions

manajro kernels are fine, only mine custom built obviously :stuck_out_tongue:

Can't blame them with 5.19 right around the corner.

Huge update but everything is working as always. I`m using xfce kernel 5.6.14-1

451 packages on my MacbookPro, 464 packages on my MacbookAir, and all is good.

Just a little "xmonad --recompile"

A little problem: the Aur bcwc-pcie-git package don't build on kernet 5.6, but no problem on kernel 5.4 LTS.

421 packages for me ... what should go wrong  .... famous last words

EDIT: OK i'm back ... so everything went without issues :).

I'm also experiencing the same.
(and I also don't care that much  )

Hi, ms-office-online crashes whenever I click on any icon other than Outlook.
The errors are always referred to url_rules:

3x xfce with Kernel5.6 fine .. thanks for your work!

Searching for an already installed AUR package and selecting the AUR tab on the left makes the remove button on the right side for the installed package unclickable in the pamac GUI. This doesn't happen when All or Installed tab is selected on the left side.

Everything else seems to be working fine so far. Thanks for this huge update

Solves problem Could not find the program ā€˜konsoleā€™ error after Manjaro update. And everything goes well so far.

I think that if we are gonna replace a kernel with other because the original is EOL the best option is to replace with LTS I think, don't you think that? The people who " doesn't" mind with newer kernels are the people who usually doesn't need them(LTS more stability for them). IMHO

I disagree, in this instance especially because you would be downgrading their kernel to an older version. I think keeping them on the latest stable kernel is better in the long term.

That's the reason why I always go for the latest lts when I want a stable system. - My Manjaro cinnamon is on stable branch and with linux54 and linux419.

With Manjaro awesome I'm on testing branch, so I'd like the linux-latest + linux-latest-lts as a backup, if there might occur a bug caused by a kernel-update.
