UUID not found after todays update

Hi, after the last update, i cannot boot anymore,
with that message

ERROR: resume: hibernation device ‘UUID=long number here’ not found
ERROR: device ‘UUID=long number here’ Skipping fsck.
mount: /new_root: can’t find ‘UUID=long number here’.
Then I am dropped to recovery shell with the message
SH: can’t access tty: job control turned off.
[rootfs ]#_

like described here Error: Manjaro error hibernation device not found on boot

Unfortunately, i can only boot using a live-media.

Comparing the UUIDs in /etc/default/grub.cfg with the output of blkid shows me that the UUIDs are actually correct!

What can cause this issue? Thank you!

I cannot tell why but I can tell the solution.

Probably your swap partition UUID is missing from /etc/fstab

You can do two things both requires the boot from a live media and then chroot to your system

manjaro-chroot -a
  1. Comment the line in your fstab which has your swap partition but no UUID like UUID=

  1. Find your swap partition with blkid and insert the UUID you find in your fstab.

Unfortunately, there is only one correct line in /etc/fstab for swap, which already contains the correct UUID?

Try removing the hibernation partition in grub.cfg and run

sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

Have you tried the advice from this post

Also that user was using btrfs - what filesystem are you using?

If btrfs then the answer migth be here

That (adding btrfs) did the trick! Thank you !
