It seems this adapter is not compatible with Linux or there are no Linux drivers in the kernel.
It is suggested (Archwiki) to try use ndiswrapper if you can get the relevant WinOS driver.
Though, there is a github repo that reports having a driver for this chip.
You may want to try installing it (instructions included)

i have no idea what you want you are asking. :worried:

can you explain a little please?

thank you!

I'll check those.:slightly_smiling_face:

It's the Github repo I pointed, you are lucky!!
You just need to install that AUR package and you should have your driver.
Search the AUR for "rtl8723de" and install the package that will pop out.

im getting this while using the commands from the github

bash: dkms: command not found

what is AUR?

sorry. im clueless :disappointed:

After your study (Disclaimer: important!)

  • Start Pamac (Add/Install Software)
  • In Preferences, go to AUR tab and enable AUR.
  • Exit Preferences
  • Refresh Databases
  • Search for "rtl8723de".
  • Install the package that is found.
  • Reboot

This is the driver package you want from the AUR.

You must also install the linux headers package that matches your kernel number.

If you are on 4.17 then install:

linux417-headers

i think the driver is not the right one.
