Good morning, I'm having a very weird problem with Manjaro i3 (Linux listentothesilence 4.19.14-1-MANJARO #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed Jan 9 17:17:37 UTC 2019 x86_64 GNU/Linux)
On Friday - last time I used my laptop - wifi was working flawlessly, connecting to wifi on startup automatically. This morning that behavious is completely gone, and I had to use ethernet to get a connection.
The problem is apparently that the interface is for some reasons DOWN:
3: wlp59s0: <NO-CARRIER,BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP> mtu 1500 qdisc mq state DOWN mode DORMANT group default qlen 1000
link/ether 7e:9e:eb:ba:95:b6 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
If I try to take it up with
sudo ip link set wlp59s0 up
it outputs no error but nothing really happens. Tried to look under /var/log and dmesg
for an error message but couldn't find anything (not sure where to look, so take this with a pinch of salt - could very well be under my nose).
Here is my iwconfig:
wlp59s0 IEEE 802.11 ESSID:off/any
Mode:Managed Access Point: Not-Associated Tx-Power=0 dBm
Retry short limit:7 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
Encryption key:off
Power Management:off
I'm quite lost if someone can lend me a hand in debugging this I'd be very grateful.
Thanks and have an amazing day.
