xflock4 doesn't work

Xflock4 doesn't work neither when I click on the lock screen button nor when I'm trying to execute it in the terminal, however it doesn't show any errors.

What should I do?

We don't have any xflock4 package in the repo....

So what is used to lock the screen?

PS And how can I lock the screen at all?

You need to install xfce4-screensaver if it's not done yet, which is the screensaver and the locker for Xfce.

Indeed, however when I installed it and tried to run I got the following error:

xfce4-screensaver: error while loading shared libraries: libxfconf-0.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Yeah. xfce4-screensaver has not been rebuild after xfconf got updated.

So for now there's no solution beside using the other screen locker?

To be honest, I don't know. I am not an XFCE user.

So, I wanted to have the screen locker which will turn off the monitor and immediately lock the screen and possibly do it with default settings.

There are only four of them beside xfce4-screensaver which work with xflock4 without editing that script, I tested all of them and all of them were terrible beside slock which is fantastic and works out of the box. :slightly_smiling_face:

My Manjaro xfce install uses light-locker in conjunction with LightDM which I guess are the defaults.

light-locker-command -l

I don't have light-locker installed, maybe because it is Manjaro ARM.
